Well I’m still not sure if this whole thing is getting harder or easier but we have some good results ad some areas where increased intensity is still in order.
First of all, I’m still not sure I have totally figured out how this whole weight loss thing works, all I know is that if I don’t eat/drink a bunch of crap and if I workout every single day, I seem to lose weight. As you can see by going to my Traineo page, as of today I have 190 lbs meaning I lost another 5 pounds this week. Again, not sure what the secret sauce is or how long I can keep it up but I haven’t had any fried food, a single soda, or a single beer in these two weeks. I have run about 31 miles in the last two weeks.
Next, if I just didn’t have to pay to park downtown when going to work I would have cut my expenses to next to nothing. I have not eaten out once in two weeks (including lunch) which helps and haven’t bought a thing. I am really doing well in the budget department. The only problem I have been running into is I am still working too much as I have done basically nothing to get ready for the CPA exam and am 2 lessons behind on my Mandarin lessons. We’ll try to get to get fired up and wired up on those after I finally get caught up at work this week.

I am so deeply a Broncos fan, that I am usually pretty safe saying I don’t even care who wins in the playoffs is the Broncos aren’t there as long as it IS NOT the Raiders. I think I am changing my mind this year however. I mean, really. How could you not love the Cinderella story coming out of New Orleans.
Let’s review. The Saints end last year having lost 13 games (3-13), finishing dead last in the NFC South. Off season comes around and they manage get rid of that joke of a Quarterback Aaron Brooks, sending him to (this is one reason I like them so much this year) the Raiders who leveraged that brilliant deal to finish 2-14, the worst in football. Next they pick-up Drew Brees and strengthen the defense. Nice foresight giving Brees a shot as finished second in the MVP voting to LT. Then, comes draft time. The bonehead Texans use the first pick on Mario Williams leaving Reggie Bush for the taking with the second pick. The Saints also did their homework picking up Marques Colston who turned out to be one of the leagues best receivers in his rookie year.
Then what happened? The whole team went out there, especially starting in week 3 which was their first week back in New Orleans after Katrina, played like a team and played with a ton of heart. No arrests, no big mouths, just went and won 10 games on their way to winning the NFC South.
Still after yesterday’s game, they do nothing but thank fans and say how great it was they sold out the stadium with season tickets despite the rebuilding and situation in regards to Katrina. They are solid and they are playing with heart. Disastrous to marvelous. I would never pledge any real allegiance to any but my Broncos but I would love to see that trophy find a home in New Orleans this year, go Saints! (not a lot of chance though I think, even if they get through the Bears/Seahawks, LT and the Chargers are amazing).

The future is here, and the future is iPhone. Not sure it will actually be as cool as the hype, but if it is, it is the mobile device of the future. I have always said that smart phones were too complex and what people really want in a cell phone is a simple phone that really doesn’t do anything except a great job of making phone calls.
Well I may have been wrong. If the iPhone does everything as smoothly and cleanly as was showed off by Steve Jobs this week at MacWorld, then iPhone is what I want in a mobile device (it is a video iPod, cell phone, and internet device combined into one sleek package with a touch screen). I highly recommend checking out it out so you know if you need $599 (with 2 yr contract of course) cell phone this June…. www.apple.com/iphone

Well, so far I’m not sure if it’s getting harder or easier but we have some positive results. I am happy to say that to be on track I need to lose two pounds per week. Well, as of this morning, I have lost five pounds, down to 195. This is good I think cuz I have no doubt the last few are going to be much harder than the first few.
Definitely did well on goal 2 also. I ate for the entire week for like $25. Still have a long, long way to go on the CPA thing but we’re building momentum. I think the next 11 should be no problem.
