There is a teacher here at Notre Dame that is just totally crazy. I mean, all my teachers are great, but this guy is on another level. The guy is absolutely passionate… about ACCOUNTING of all things. I mean, he gets so excited when talking about the differences in GAAP and IASB standards for addressing pension benefit obligations it is almost eary, haha. Seriously, I wish everyone could find their way to a profession or field or even hobby that they could be as excited about.
Classes are getting intense. Believe it or not my first “semester” midterms start a week from today. I did however play golf today at Warren Golf Course… ND’s championship qulaity golf course. It’s really nice and normally costs about $50 if you walk in off the street to play. Students cost a whopping $17, guess that’s a nice little side benefit you get when you buy a $60,000 graduate degree from the Catholics :-D.
Looks like Grandma and Papa are coming for graduation! With Mom and Tim, that makes four people which is actually the total number of tickets I currently have available. Glad they can all make it.
OK, I gotta actually get some studying done. I’m out… GO IRISH!

Long time, no speak… haha. It has been a CRAZY week getting moved back onto campus while trying to get regular work to realize I have transitioned into a very busy time. Anyway, I am back on campus and Notre Dame is gorgeous as always. Its raining a lot here but I have managed one round of golf so far.
It was great to see my friends… not so great getting my brain back in accounting mode, but it’ll be OK :-). I have Advanced Audit, Accounting Measurement and Disclosure, and International Finance right now. Next session, which is in July, is Advanced Accounting Information Systems, Business Analysis and Valuation using Financial Statements, and Ethics in Accounting.
Then… graduation on August 4th, NICE. More to come soon… bye.

I hate to say it, but right now is the absolute least I have been excited about my gig at E&Y. I find myself here in Lexington, Kentucky on yet another bummer hospital job. I’m not sure it’s the travel that’s really bothering me so much as the damn INCOVENIENT travel to come out to these places. Plus, no stability… different hospital, different hotel, different city, different state of depression each week. I left home at 1:30 Sunday and got to my hotel room at 1 AM, thanks to time change, lay over flight, etc. this weekend. In the end, basically means I worked an extra day this week
Been needing a few straight weeks in some real city (thought I hated LA one time in my life, WRONG. Ever been to to Little Rock?). But… I will survive, as long as I know how to love I know I’ll be alive! I shoulda changed that stupid lock, I shoulda made you leave your key if I’d have known for just one second… WOW, enough crappy disco.
Point being, one more week and then I get to actually spend almost three months in the same city!! (even if it is South Bend). More importantly, no hospitals, no management bummers and a chance to refresh a bit. I am actually quite excited to head back and am doing so this SUNDAY. Hopefully I’ll see Shannon’s new apartment on the way through.
DZ from Lexington… OUT.
