When are you all going to say… ENOUGH!! I’m Sorry Virginia Tech
Apr 20

I find basketball to be easily the least interesting of the major pro sports these days (and no soccer still doesn’t count as a major pro sport here in the US, despite david Beckham). I have all the same complaints as most who don’t like the NBA… they’re overpaid, they recruit too young, the players whine too much, tickets are too expensive, etc., etc.

That said, I love the playoffs in about any sport. More importantly, I like the playoffs when my team is good. The Nuggets haven’t been amazing yet I would but if I were a big Spurs fan, I wouldn’t just assume my boys are going to role through the first round like years past this time. I typically pull for the Spurs (after all, you guys down there don’t have a lot of other to get behind) but not this year my friends.

Round one we have the Nuggets and the Spurs. And this is Melo and AI’s big shot to “show Denver the magic” we have all spent the season waiting to see from those two mega-stars. Melo and AI go for a combined average of about 55 per game and pull off knocking out the Spurs and I will retract all the bad things I said about Iverson.

GO NUGGETS… even if I don’t like pro basketball. And for the record, the best thing about pro basketball is going to the Nuggets game and watching Rocky nail backwards half-court shots. Amazing, and way more interesting than the crap they all pass off as basketball during the game.
